We received our travel dates!!!

We got word today that we will be traveling to China
to bring Micah home Feb. 15th-29th!
We can't wait to hold him for the first time
and look into his sweet little face.
We don't know much about him...
so different from the experience we had adopting Joshua.
We have only received 3 pictures of him
and this brief history and update
which we are excited to be able to share with you now!

The following was written by someone at the orphanage...

"This male infant was discovered abandoned on Aug. 27, 2010
at the southeast corner of Dayan Village, Jishi Township,
Zhaoling District, Luohe City.
The Jishi Police Station received the alert
and quickly arrived on scene.
After a thorough search could not locate his biological parents,
that day the Luohe City Public Security Bureau
Zhaoling District Branch Jishi Police station
delivered him to the Luohe City Rescue Station,
after which he was taken to the Luohe City
Social Welfare Institute.
Upon entrance to the institute, a physical examination found:
he was 39 cm tall and weighed 2.8 kg.
and was a prematurely born child.
After Qiu Hau entered the institute,
he was under the meticulous care of the nurses and nannies.
When he just arrived in the institute,
he was not in very good physical condition
and occasionally he caught a cold and ran a fever,
as if this little prince could not adapt to life here at all.
He clenched his hands and cried easily.
But Qiu Hau was great,
he quickly got familiar with institute life.
In all aspects, his health grew better by the day.
Now he rarely gets sick.
While his nanny is feeding him, he looks at the nanny's face,
sometimes he even smiles at her and makes "oh, oh" sounds.
When his nanny gives him a toy,
he happily holds it in his hands.
Qiu Hau is a handsome and lovely little prince.
Everyone likes him very much.
Qiu Hau is like a sturdy little tree,
growing steadfastly under the care of
the sunshine, rain and dew.
In the future, you must be able to find a happy family.
Your future parents will surely give you endless love and care,
and help you grow happier and healthier."
