Trip to Ohio with Mom!

Back at the beginning of November,
Mom and I enjoyed a trip to Ohio together.
We had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed taking in a Bronco's game at the Bengal's stadium.
It was really special for both of us,
and we hope to do it again sometime!

 I miss Tim Tebow,
but Peyton is truly amazing to watch.
Did I mention we are 11-3!
Thanks Peyton. :)
Some pictures of some of my favorite players...

We spent most of our time touring Ohio's Amish country near Sugarcreek.
We stayed in a beautiful inn.

The scenery was really beautiful.

Such a simple way of life...truly something to behold.

Growing boys!

It is amazing how quickly these boys are growing and changing.
Here's a quick update that is long overdue!

Braden reminds us often that he is now four years old.
He loves going to preschool
and knows how to write most of his letters.
He is learning music, spanish and computers
and says that his favorite of the three is music.
No surprise there. :)
His school pictures turned out super cute...what a handsome little guy.
He is a wonderful big brother.
Often, when he doesn't know I'm listening,
I will hear him say things like...
"Here you go, Joshua, let me help you."
"Good job, buddy!"
"Micah, I'm proud of you. You did it!"
So sweet.
He really enjoys building with legos...especially zoo's and airplanes.
He still likes playing baseball with Daddy...
look at that stance!
He knows how to ride his bike now, too!
His newest, and may I add sweetest, thing is buying flowers for me
whenever he goes to the store with Daddy.
Tim says he asks if he can pick some out each time.
It seems like for the past several months
as soon as one bouquet begins to dry up,
he brings a new one home.
Several weeks ago, out of the blue, he came to me and said,
"Mommy, you know I buy you flowers because I love you."
What a sweet heart.

Joshua is doing really well, too!
This past week we celebrated his "Gotcha" Day.
It is hard to believe that he has been with us for a whole year!
His language skills are coming along so well.
His favorite phrase is "I do it!"
He says "thank you" without any prompting now
whenever someone gives him something.
He loves to pray and give hugs.
He still likes to run and play rough and tumble style,
but we are seeing more and more a tender and loving side come out.
When he talks to us he speaks with a soft and gentle voice,
and he has gotten better about maintaining eye contact
when talking to someone or listening.
It is really precious when he says he is sorry
and asks if you will forgive him.
He really likes stickers, puzzles and books.
He likes to wear his backpack around the house...
And he has gotten really good at riding his scooter!
He likes to play baseball,
...take a ride on a skateboard,
 ...and eat mexican flans.
And I cannot forget to mention that he is
Mommy's best little helper on laundry days.

Micah is still a little "love bug" as people like to call him.
He smiles most of them time and has a contagious laugh.
He has definitely turned two, though...
and has the temper tantrums to prove it.
He has really begun to talk...and sing!
He is an affectionate little guy
and can brighten even the gloomiest day.
He enjoys playing outside and racing his brothers on his car...
which he is quickly outgrowing, I might add!
He can usually be found carrying his doggie around the house
when he is not using him as a pillow.
He likes to play "peek-a-boo with Mommy,"
And he and Joshua can play a mean duet on the piano. :)

For the most part the boys play well together
and have a lot of fun with each other.
They definitely keep me on my toes, and they are very entertaining. :)
They were especially adorable when they, along with Daddy,
portrayed the story of Daniel and the lions' den
for our church's Trunk-n-Treat.
