Canton Tower

Tuesday we went to our appointment at the U.S. Consulate,
where we had our interview to apply for Anna Joy's visa.
Barring any unexpected delays,
her visa should be processed and picked up today (Wednesday).
As soon as she sets foot on American soil,
she will be a U.S. citizen!

Following our 3 hour Consulate appointment,
we returned to the hotel for a rest.
Then, we set out for an exciting evening
to the top of the Canton Tower.
This is the 2nd tallest building in the world.

At the top, there are bubbles that carry people
around the entire tower on the 120th floor.

The whole experience was absolutely terrifying for me,
(especially the glass bottom box on the 84th floor)
...but Tim and Braden loved every bit of it.:)

Shamian Island

Monday we spent the morning at Shamian Island.
It is a very beautiful place.

This spot is a popular place for adoptive families
to take photos of their children...
a space is left between two of the statues
to place an adopted child.
From the video I put on FB,
you can see Anna Joy's caring nature
come out during her turn for a photo.

This might just be the prettiest Starbucks I've ever seen.

We really enjoyed our time at the Island
with our new friends.

After we returned to the hotel
we enjoyed another afternoon swim!

Cleaned up and off to dinner with oldest big brother.:)

Safari Park

Today was a free day
while we wait for our children's Visas to be ready.
We decided to venture out to the Safari Park.
This is a famous attraction in Guangzhou.
We all enjoyed seeing the animals...
especially the giant pandas!

We took an open car train around the park.
It was fun seeing the animals up close
and out in the open.

Anna Joy didn't quite make it through our tour.

But she was wide awake and all smiles on the way back.:)

After we returned to the hotel,
we headed straight to the pool.
The orphanage had warned us
that Anna Joy was scared of water,
but that wasn't the case.
In her daddy's arms, she loved it!
